Shutting Down Blog

This is just a short post to say that I will be shutting down this blog. I simply don't have the time to write and take pictures often any more! I know it only had a short life, but I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.

I will, however, be using my tumblr account to blog, hopefully more often. I will be doing the same sort of thing that I did on this blog, so please take a look! www.japanobsession.tumblr.com

I hope that you will also follow my tumblr and please enjoy!

Does anyone read this blog?

So it's been a while and I was going to write a post about Autumn Fashion in Japan, but then I started thinking...

Does anyone even read this blog?

I know I'm not the best blogger in the world, I don't post often or regularly, but I do worry about this little blog a lot and if no one reads it or is interested, I might just let it go....

So, if anyone does read and enjoys my blog, please follow and comment, just to let me know there is someone there and then I'll carry on and maybe start to post a little more often. If I get no response, I will shut the blog down.

Hope to hear from you soon~

Bad Blogger :(

I know! I've been the worst blogger in the world!!

But, I am really REALLY busy with school work at the minute (GCSE's! D:) so it probably won't be improving any time soon.... But, I do have the Summer holidays coming up, so maybe I'll be able to blog a bit then?....

I ordered from Pretty&Cute recently for the first time! :D I've been wanting to try out BB creams for a long time now, but have been biding my time because I wasn't sure what to get, there are so many different ones!! D: But, I follow Pretty&Cute on Twitter and saw that they were now selling a little set for £10 of 4 different Skin 79 BB creams in small sizes. Perfect! If you'd like a set too, click here

The set includes Diamond Collection Pearl BB Cream (5g), Super+ VIP Gold Collection BB Cream (5g), Super+ Triple Functions BB Cream (Pink) (5g) and The Oriental Gold BB Cream (5g). Pretty&Cute are also kind enough to offer a free sample of a selection of BB creams. So out of the options I think I chose the Lioele Triple the Solution BB cream.

So, I will have 5 different BB creams to try out! :D So hopefully I will be able to put up my circle lens and BB cream reviews in the Summer.

See you soon~!

Canmake and Dollywink from apopofkawaii.com

So, I'm back! :D Let's get onto the review~!

A few weeks ago I ordered some products from apopofkawaii.com . Before I review these products, I'd like to review apopofkawaii's service first. I have to say, I was really impressed with them! This was my first time ordering from there, I'd heard a lot of good things about them so I gave it a try.
Their shipping is really good, especially as my products came in around a week, a whole 7 days earlier than I'd expected. :D Their communication was quick, they gave me a lot of updates about where my order was. So, I was really pleased with the service they gave me and I will definitely be ordering from them again in the near future. ; )

Now onto the products!

Everything came in this really really cute bag!

Isn't it the cutest?! Plus, I LOVE doughnuts!

And, they also gave me a free gift, which I was not expecting at all.

But what is it?

Blotting paper of course! This was also really cute, and kind of apopofkawaii. : )

So, I ordered Canmake and Dollywink products.

First off I have Canmake Cheek and Cheek in 04 (I was wrong in my last post. :/ I'm sorry! xD) I love the colours of this blush because the lighter colour I would say is an everyday colour, just a milky pink, and the darker is more of a hot pink, so useful if you want to look bolder. ; )
It's really nice actually, smooth and jut the right amount of pigmentation. 10/10!

Next, Canmake Melty Nude Lip in 03 baby pink. I don't usually use lipstick, but my lips are really pigmented naturally and I wanted to try and re~create the Tsubasa nude lip but with a cheaper alternative. I really like this lipstick. I was worried because I am used to having dark lips it would look unnatural, but it was completely the opposite! It looks really natural and I didn't even have to use concealer!

There are some downsides though. It doesn't really last that long, especially if you are eating/drinking. And I think it was quite drying, even with lip balm underneath as a base. But, I think as a first lipstick it is very good and does have that perfect baby pink colour. 8/10

Then is the Canmake Graduation Wink eyeshadow palette in 02. I wanted to try this palette in particular because it says that you don't even need a brush, you can simply swipe your finger across the colours and then swipe them over your lid. I tried this and I have to say that it doesn't really work. : / It goes on, but is patchy and ideally needs to be blended with a brush. But, I guess that if you really were in a hurry, it would be ok.

One of the first things I noticed about this eyeshadow is that it has a lot of shimmer to it. I was worried about that because I don't really like overly-shiny eyeshadow, but actually when it's on it doesn't look so bad. : ) I really like that these eyeshadows are really soft and not overly pigmented. 8/10

And lastly, I got the Koji Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black. Obviously, this is a very popular eyeliner and is very well known. I really wanted to try this because I think that either this or the K~Palette 1 Day Tattoo eyeliner (which you can also get at apopofkawaii.com ; ) )is known to be the best eyeliner EVER!

And I have to agree!! It has a really fine felt tip which makes it perfect for filling in between your eyelashes as well as precision lining. A really handy this about this eyeliner is that it doesn't come off in cold water, but does in warm water, so you don't need to use harsh makeup removers, but don't have to worry about it coming off if you tear. The colour really is a deep black too. Plus, who can resist this packaging??! Definitely the cutest eyeliner ever! 10/10!

And so to give you an idea of the products, here is a picture of me wearing them:

So, that's my apopofkawaii.com order! I would definitely recommend any of these products and using apopofkawaii.com. to get them. So take a look and I hope you found this review helpful.

See you soon!

:p

Sorry for the long absence. . . .

. . . . But I have been quite stressed lately, there is a lot of change going on. O___O

Plus, I can't seem to be able to upload my pictures for the reviews onto my computer. :/ But, hopefully I should be able to get that fixed this weekend.

But be prepared for even less posting, at least in the next few weeks, until I get a bit more settled again.

In the meantime though, take a look at Tsubasa Masuwaka's new CandyDoll CM!

I'm really excited to review these products, I just have to take the pictures and I'm ready to go! :D I still have to take pictures of my circle lenses too... But, I will get round to it!

What's Happening in Japan: Fashion

Hello~!

I'm sorry followers. T__T I've been a bad blogger, I'm not updating as often as I'd like... So I've decided to start a new, easy-to-write segment to my blog called "What's Happening in Japan".  It will have different sub-categories like fashion, food, and general goings-on. I'm basically going to add to it as I go. ^__^

So, what's happening in Japan, fashion-wise? Well, Summer is a great time of year for Japanese fashion, and I've been really enjoying the June issue of Popsister. Tsubasa featured a lot this month, modeling Rodeo Crowns, Barbie t-shirts and there was even a section about her Twitter, which is very frequently updated let me tell you. O___O I love you Tsubasa, but it's come close to you just spamming my Twitter page! Anyway, back to fashion....

(Please click on images to make them larger)

I really liked the make up section, as all the girls were sporting very minimalist, natural make-up, which of course is prefect for the up coming season. I loved that they all had a similar look, but with different brands. One girl wore mostly Dollywink/Candydoll, and the next girl looked similar, but used mostly Melliesh. I think that's a good way to promote the cheaper, but equally good quality brands.

On the clothing side of things, bright accessories seem to be popular and, of course, denim. ^__^ A lot of denim shorts, skirts, overalls and even dresses featured in Popsister too. I think that denim shorts are always an option to fall back on in the Summer months. >.<

There are a lot of patterns this season too mainly florals, spots and stripes. All are very brightly coloured, which is obviously what you want in the Summer!

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed it. ^_^ I'd love to know what you think, if you'd like to see more of these or something else all together. I also have a YouTube channel already, so would you like me to make videos?

Speak to you soon~!

Poupee Girl

If you scroll down a little, you'll notice I've added my Poupee Girl!!

I've had my account for a few months now, but I haven't really used it. But I remembered it again today and I've really enjoyed it! I like that there are little goals you can do to earn more 'ribbons' (Poupee Girl currency). I know a lot of bloggers I follow play Poupee Girl, so I'm really looking forward to (hopefully!) becoming friends with them~!

So tell me, 4 followers, do you play Poupee Girl?!

Review: Palty in Ganache Tart

I ordered my hair dye from Pinky Paradise and I was really impressed! It came in exactly 1 week all the way from Korea, which is the quickest delivery I've ever had when ordering from Korea/China!!

It was a little bit bashed up, but everything inside was absolutely fine.

My hair is already quite dark, so I was going for the top left colour:

(Sorry, it's a bit hard to see the true colour)

Inside you get a bottle of, I guess you would call it, developing fluid (?), then a tube of the colour, a brush nozzle, gloves and a small sachet of conditioner and instructions. And don't worry! You don't need to know Japanese to read the instructions, there are a LOT of pictures, it's very easy to figure it out.

My mum helped me apply it, and said that it was really easy to put on! It didn't drip at all and the brush nozzle made it really even.
But, if you have hair longer than shoulder length, I would recommend buying 2 packs! I only got 1, and it just about covered my slightly longer than shoulder length hair.

I left it on for 20 minutes and washed off. There wasn't too much bleeding afterwards, which made me a bit concerned! O_O But it actually turned out really well!! Here is my hair before:

(Sorry again, this is the only relatively good photo I have of my hair!)

And after!!

There isn't an awful lot of difference, but that's my own fault, I should have got a lighter colour, but you can see that, especially in bright sunshine, it now has a red tinge to it. (Neither of the photos have flash)

So, pros and cons:

Pros

✭ Easy to apply
✭ Doesn't drip
✭ Nice smelling!
✭ Doesn't bleed
✭ Not too expensive

Cons

✭ Dark hair needs bleaching before hand
✭ Fades quite quickly

I'll edit in more if I think of any!

So overall, I really like this dye. I would probably buy a lighter one next time, but I'm happy with the results I got from this colour!

I give this product....

P.S. My lenses are all sorted now, so I'll be able to review both Princess Mimi Almond and Chocolate lenses soon!!〜♥

Coming Up....

So what have I got planned?

I recently ordered with Pinky Paradise, so I will be reviewing Palty hair dye in Ganache Tart and Tsubasa Masuwaka's Bambi series in chocolate.

I'm having some problems with my circle lenses though. :( So I will be doing the Palty first! :D

I promise, I will post the first review soon, probably at the weekend.

I hope you'll like it!
